The mid-weight winter pair: chrome-free smooth sheepskin outside, a knitted 50 percent wool and 50 percent polyester lining inside. The polyester in the blend is what makes it more hard-wearing than pure wool for daily commuting. Outer-seam stitching keeps the inside of the glove smooth against your fingers.
Wool for the warmth and breathability, polyester for softness and wear resistance. It survives being pulled on and off twice a day better than a pure wool knit.
Seams are sewn on the outside, so there is nothing rubbing along the inside of your fingers. It also gives a cleaner line across the back.
Simple elastic closure that pulls in against wind. Easy to get on with one hand, which snap fastenings are not.
Two colours. The grey is the less obvious choice and works with a lighter coat.
