A Fioretto glove is sized by the tape around your palm. A belt is sized by the strap end to end. A bag is sized by the laptop that has to go in it. Those numbers sit scattered down a retailer page, so we lifted them out and put them beside the price, one page for every colour.
The seven sections
Three glove sections because a lined winter pair and a half-finger riding glove have nothing in common except leather. Three bag sections because a tote, a laptop backpack and a duffle are answers to different questions. Then belts, which are sized in inches and nothing else.

Gloves
Most of the winter range is chrome-free tanned. That is a manufacturing detail on the box and a comfort decision on your hands: no chromium salts means no contact reaction for the people who get one from ordinary leather. Linings run from unlined driving gloves through wool knits to an 85 percent wool and 15 percent cashmere blend.

I had bought a medium in gloves for about fifteen years. Put a tape round my knuckles, got 8.4 inches, and the chart on the pair I wanted called that a large. The large fits. First winter my fingertips are not folded over at the ends.
I came here for the belt length table and nothing else. Measured the belt I wear at 43 inches from tip to buckle, ordered the 43 instead of guessing off my jeans, and it sits on the middle hole.
Every bag page told me which laptop goes in, which was the only thing I needed to know. The 17 inch machine slides into the XL tote and the bottle pocket is sewn to the base, so nothing tips into the sleeve.
The long version
Three sizing systems run through these 136 pages and not one of them converts into another. Gloves go by a tape measure around the hand. Belts go by the length of the strap. Bags go by the machine that has to fit inside. A medium in one section tells you nothing about a medium in the next, which is the single most common way to order the wrong thing here.
The 136 pages sit in 44 model families. A family is one listing at the retailer sold in several colours, and the retailer keeps a single set of numbers for the whole thing. That has three consequences worth knowing before you compare pages.

Only the glove sections print a chart. Bags and belts carry dimensions in the specification block instead, which is the line to read before the marketing copy.
Of the 32 pages with a chart, 24 measure hand circumference and 8 measure hand width. Circumference is the tape wrapped around the palm at the knuckles. Width is the tape laid flat across the palm. The same hand reads roughly an inch and a half lower on a width chart, so reading one number against the other bumps you down a full size.

The reliable way to choose is to lay out a belt you already wear and measure from the tip to the hole you use, then add the buckle. Your trouser size is a worse guide than that number, especially with the grommet and chain models, which sit lower on the hip than a dress belt.
