The pistol-style cut is what gives these their shape: the seam line runs so the hand reads long and narrow, with fine needle stitching along it. Sheepskin, unlined, with a side zip for getting in and out. Buyers use them for driving, guitar playing, skating and stage wear in roughly equal measure.
The pattern and stitch line elongate the hand. It is a design decision, not a fit accident, and it is why these look different from a plain half-finger glove.
Sheepskin does not stretch much, so the zip does the work at the wrist. On and off without a struggle.
The glove contours to your hand over a few wears and stays thin enough to feel a wheel, a fretboard or a rail.
Packed in a velvet bag rather than a plastic sleeve, which is the reason a lot of these go out as gifts.
