Cookies

The short version

This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no ad network, and has no account system, no cart and no checkout to keep state for. What remains is a small amount of technical and traffic measurement, described below.

What may be set

• Strictly necessary. Items our host uses to serve pages and defend against abuse. They carry no profile and cannot be switched off without breaking delivery of the page.
• Traffic measurement. An anonymous counter that tells us which pages are read and which product pages send clicks onward. It does not follow you to other sites and does not build a profile.

What is not set

• No advertising or retargeting cookies from us.
• No social network trackers. There are no embedded feeds or share widgets on any page.
• No cart, session or login cookies, because none of those features exist here.

The retailer's cookies

Pressing a buy button opens the retailer in a new tab, and at that point their cookies apply, including the one that attributes a qualifying purchase to this site. That cookie identifies the referring site rather than you, and it is governed by the retailer's own policy, which is worth reading if this matters to you.

Turning it off

Block cookies for this domain in your browser settings, or browse in a private window. Nothing here breaks. The glove size calculator and the belt guidance run in your browser with plain arithmetic, store nothing and send nothing, so they keep working with scripts restricted to this site alone.

Local storage

We do not use local storage or session storage to keep anything about you between visits. Reload a page and it starts from nothing, including the calculators.

Changes

If a new measurement tool ever needs to remember something, this page gets updated before it ships.
